
When Fertility Treatments Aren't Working
If you’re reading this, you may be feeling a weight that’s hard to share with others—the silent struggle of wanting to conceive, but facing repeated disappointment. You’ve tried multiple rounds of fertility treatments, and each cycle has come and gone with your heart still longing for a positive test. Let me start by saying this- I see you. This journey can feel incredibly isolating. It’s okay to feel frustrated and exhausted, to wonder if there’s anything else you could possibly do.
I want you to know that you’re not alone and there’s nothing wrong with you. It may just be that your focus needs to be shifted a bit. Instead of only focusing on getting a positive pregnancy test, let’s focus on supporting an optimal environment for your body to get pregnant. It may sound like the same thing, but it’s most certainly not!
My Controversial Opinion About Fertility Treatments
As someone who has dedicated their work to supporting fertility through food and lifestyle, I want to bring up something that may feel a bit controversial, but also deeply important: while fertility medications and treatments can be incredibly helpful, they don’t address the root causes of infertility. The body is incredibly wise, and when it feels safe, supported, and nourished, it’s more likely to conceive naturally.
Fertility struggles have underlying factors that can’t be “fixed” by medication alone. For all the women I have worked with, these issues lie deeper in the body—cycle health, gut health, thyroid function, and overall nourishment are significant pieces of the fertility puzzle. Without addressing these, fertility treatments won’t be as successful because they aren’t addressing the ROOT cause of why you aren’t able to conceive.

Finding a Way to Support Your Body First
Imagine taking a few months to nourish your body fully, to give it what it needs to feel safe. By supporting your cycle, balancing hormones, optimizing gut health, and nourishing your thyroid, you’re preparing the body to do what it is naturally designed to do. It’s not about choosing between fertility treatments and a holistic approach; it’s about combining the two in a way that makes sense for you. I’ll also add- I’ve seen SO many women who get pregnant WITHOUT fertility treatments by taking a holistic approach!
When your body feels safe and nourished, it’s more likely to get pregnant. Simple changes, like nutrient-dense meals, stress management, and cycle awareness, are essential in helping build that sense of security. Fertility is so much more than taking the right pill; it’s about creating the right environment for life.
